Our
Company

Decentralized management structure. We believe that our culture is driven by an entrepreneurial approach and that Couche-Tard’s management structure is one of our greatest strengths. Couche-Tard manages its operations and workforce in a decentralized manner in order to streamline the decision-making process, satisfy local demand for specific products and services and minimize general business expenses. Each store is operated as a separate activity unit and managers are responsible for attaining operational and financial objectives. We offer our store managers support through an experienced and strong management team and capital resources, which, we believe, give them a significant competitive advantage compared with small operators. Furthermore, we have implemented a thorough process for monitoring performance and carrying out comparative research regarding best practices so that they may be applied throughout our network, therefore enabling us to provide effective and timely feedback to our managers at all levels.

The Company is divided into nine geographic business units: Eastern Canada (Quebec), Central Canada (Ontario), Western Canada, and in the United States, the U.S. Midwest Region, the Great Lakes Region, the U.S. West Coast Region, Arizona, the U.S. Southeast Region and the Florida and Gulf region. Each region is managed by a Vice-President of Operations.
