CLUB MED contest

 

  1. Sponsor and Contest Period. CLUB MED Contest is sponsored by Sleeman Breweries Ltd. The Contest will be promoted through posters in participating Couche-Tard stores in the province of Quebec (each, an ‘’Establishment’’). The Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. (ET) on April 26th 2022 and ends at 11:59 p.m. (ET) on May 23rd, 2022 (“Contest Period”).
  2. Prize.  There a one (1) prize to be won:

Each prize consists of $3000 towards a stay to Club Med.

The chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

  1. Conditions. The Contest is open to residents of Canada of legal drinking age. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Contest is not open to employees, agents, or representatives of the Sponsor, and any business, company, fiduciary or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated with the Sponsor, the Establishments, their promotional agencies, the suppliers of prizes, materials or services connected to the Contest, as well as the immediate family members (brothers, sisters, children, parents) or spouses of the foregoing, or any person with whom the foregoing are domiciled.
  2. How to enter with purchase of two (2) cases of 12 cans of 355ml of Sleeman. Here is how to participate in the Contest:

(a)  Any person who wishes to participate in the Contest and who satisfies the conditions set out above (each, a “Participant”) may buy two (2) cases of 12 cans of 355ml of Sleeman from an Establishment, which will be scanned at the Establishment’s customer service counter, and the computer that scans the purchase will randomly determine whether the scan is a winning scan.

(b)  If the scan is a winning scan, a coupon will be provided to the Participant. The instructions to claim the Prize are found at article 6 of these Rules.

(c)  There is a limit of three (3) scans per Participant per day.

  1. No purchase entry.
    1. To participate in the Contest without purchasing a case of Sleeman according the method set out above, any Participant may mail a legible, handwritten, original letter of at least one hundred and fifty (150) words explaining why he or she would like to win the Prize, accompanied by his or her name, address (including city or town and postal code), age and telephone number (with area code), to Sleeman Breweries Ltd. 4260 Rue Garand, Laval (QC)  H7L 5Z6. If the letter meets all the conditions, Sleeman Breweries Ltd. will inform Couche-Tard. The latter will carry out an in-store transaction on behalf of the customer. Couche-Tard will then communicate to Sleeman Breweries Ltd. whether the transaction is a winner or not.

 

(b)  If the scan is a winning scan, a coupon will be provided to the Participant. The instructions to claim the Prize are found at article 6 of these Rules.

(c)  Any Participant may submit one (1) letter per day during the Contest Period, with different text for each letter. Letters must be received by           May 20th, 2022. There is no maximum number of Coupons that may be entered during the Contest Period, as long as the conditions set out in this article 5 are satisfied for each Coupon.

  1. Awarding Prizes.

(a)  Once you have received your coupon at the cash you will need to contact contest@sleeman.ca or 1-800-547-1834 to correctly answer a math skill testing question, provide your name, address, phone number, and year of birth (for age eligibility), and claim your prize. Claim deadline: June 16th, 2022.

(b)  If the selected Participant (i) does not comply with these Contest rules; (ii) has not provided the correct answer to the skill-testing question; or (iv) does not claim the Prize according to section (a), or (iii) refuses the Prize, then the selected Participant may not be declared a winner.

  1. Acceptance of Prize. The Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not subject to transfer, exchange or substitution for an award of cash or otherwise, except that the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize, in whole or in part, for another prize of equivalent or greater value if the Prize is not available for any reason whatsoever.
  2. Waiver. Each Participant grants to the Sponsor and to the Establishments the right to use his or her name, city of residence, photo or image (the “Attributes”) for publicity purposes, in any format or medium, without compensation or prior notice. Each Participant hereby waives moral rights with respect to any materials used for these purposes and incorporating the Attributes.
  3. Winning Coupons. Neither the Sponsor nor the Establishments will be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged coupons.
  4. Decisions. Subject to article 13, all decisions of the Sponsor or its representatives with respect to this contest are final and without appeal.
  5. Indemnification. All Participants and all persons attempting to participate in the Contest hereby indemnify the Sponsor and any business, company, fiduciary or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated with the Sponsor, the Establishments, their promotional agencies, the suppliers of prizes, materials or services connected to the Contest, as well as the employees, agents, and representatives of the foregoing, against any damage or loss they may sustain in connection with their participation in, or attempt to participate in, the Contest, or in their participation in the Prize.
  6. Right to cancel, suspend or modify. Subject to the authorization of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec (the “RACJ”), the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Contest at any time, without notice, if a factor disrupts the proper conduct of the Contest, consistent with these Rules. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Contest in the case of error, particularly in production, distribution or printing, or the occurrence of any other event giving rise to claims exceeding the number of Prizes contemplated under these Rules.
  7. Disputes. Any dispute regarding the organization or conduct of a promotional contest may be submitted to the RACJ for a ruling. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the RACJ for the sole purpose of attempting to reach a settlement.
  8. Contest Rules. The Contest rules are available at www.couche-tard.com.
  9. Applicable Laws. These Contest rules are subject to the laws of the Province of Quebec and applicable laws of Canada.
